Paper Monument had a party in LA on Saturday—a “big success,” editors Roger White and Dushko Petrovich told us. It was held at Chinatown shop Ooga Booga, with music by the band Dunes and DJ SFV Acid. In the photos the editors sent us, everyone is wearing brightly-colored clothes and taking mild, happy looks at the merchandise (including Issue 3 of Paper Monument) and each other. Roger agreed: “Lots of very nice, good-looking people came out, purchased magazines, listened to music. They looked like people we would maybe know in New York, but a little more well-rested.” Now on the Paper Monument website, you can read Jessica Slaven’s review of Matt Mullican from Issue 3. More importantly, you should buy the issue!
