Issue 11 Reading, Thurs., March 24

The new issue is arriving from Sheridan, PA next Wednesday, and we’re celebrating with a reading at McNally Jackson in Soho the following night.

Please join us at 7 PM on Thursday, March 24 for a reading featuring four young contributors to Issue 11: Yelena Akhtiorskaya, Kent Russell, Gemma Sieff, and Emily Witt. Yelena will be reading from her debut short story, and Emily’s latest piece is an investigation into the cult of Cambridge poet J. H. Prynne. Kent and Gemma are both featured in the “Home Front” section of the issue, Kent with a memoir of two brothers, one of whom went to Afghanistan, and Gemma with a double portrait of the torturer Charles Graner and the pornographer Terry Richardson. They’re all standout pieces in what we think is one of our strongest issues, and we’re excited for these contributors to share their work with you.

Drinks will follow, and copies of the issue will be available.

We hope to see you there, and at our upcoming launch party (time and date TK)!
